Spring Concert
The EHS Symphonic Band Spring Concert is also just around the corner on Tuesday, May 7th at
7:30 at the auditorium.
We will have 1 after-school rehearsal on Monday, May 6th from 3:30-4:30. That way we can get all the winds and percussion together for a dress rehearsal. Uniform for the concert will be concert black. We should be done around 8:30 pm.

Spring Football Game
This year the EHS Spring Football game is a home game, which means we will be able to participate! It is scheduled for Thursday, May 9th at 6:00 pm.
We will wear the red dry-fit shirt as our uniform. Whatever shorts/shoes you want will be fine. We will not be marching, just playing in the stands, and performing 1 or 2 stand tunes at halftime for the colorguard / majorettes to perform a routine to.
The 2nd half will be a little shorter, so the game should be over around 8:30 or so.
Everyone needs to be in the band room by 5:00, ready to warm up, then we’ll enter the stadium together around 5:30. Be sure you have your stands tunes music and flip folder.

Graduation Band
Our last official performance is at Graduation on Friday, May 17th at 7:00 pm. All band students (minus the seniors of course) will need to be at the EHS Band room at 6:00 pm to warm up. We will warm up in the band room, then we will move to the stadium at about 6:40. If it’s raining, graduation will be in the gym, and the band will still perform.
Uniform for graduation is dress clothes, not concert black. We are usually done around 8:30 pm.

Absences
Please make every effort to be at every practice and class rehearsal. The success of the band is only possible with every student consistently in attendance. I realize there have been some out due to illness, and that's ok, but there have been a few others who have missed due to things that could have been avoided. All missed after-school rehearsals & performances require a doctor's note, or parental contact to me in advance in cases of a non-medical emergency. My email is [email protected], and is the best way to communicate. You can also send a message through REMIND, so be sure you have signed up for that (see the bottom of this page for details on how to sign up.)
Of course, emergent, and sickness appointments sometimes can't be avoided, but scheduled ones almost always can.
Also, as a reminder, for those who miss class, you only have 3 days to make that day up. Make up times start at 7:30 am. If you're late, that day doesn't count. Failure to do the makeup with 3 days will result in the lowering of your grade. In the case of unexcused absences, no makeup is allowed.
